Where are we coming from?

  IRENE

Irene's love of all thing "Native American" specifically the Lakota (Sioux) and other "Plains Indians" grew over a number of years. She began by reading all she could find, and when that dried up she insisted on going to the seat of her interest "South Dakota" in the USA. She has made return trips and has even had her friend Paha Ska (White Hills) who is Lakota Sioux and his wife Susan (Yellow Bird) visit her here in Scotland.

She has been making Native American artifacts and jewellery for many years and produces some beautiful "stuff".You can see examples of her work on the "Some Of Our Products" page.

       RON

Rons interest in working with leather, again, grew over years of toying with leather as a hobbyist. The visits to the USA started his interest in the western style of tooling and carving. Ron can make almost anything in leather, from "Belts" to "Highland Sporrans" and from "Harley Davidson Tank Panels" to "Saddlebags", all hand made, tooled and carved. He describes himself as a "Leathersmith". He is a self taught craftsman.

You can see examples of his work on the "Some Of Our Products" page.

  VELMA

When Velma Joined the family it was a happy day. She has brought much happiness into Irene & Ron's lives and has given Ron another avenue/outlet for his leatherwork. Yes, you guessed it Velma is a motorcycle and not just any motorcycle, she is a beautiful Harley Davidson Road King. I realise that Velma may have a gender crisis being a "female king" but she is learning to live with it. You can see her on the "Welcome"" page.
